Telephone Communications
When traveling to Bali, the country code for Indonesia is +62. To call Bali from another country, dial +62 followed by the local area or mobile number. Enable international roaming or purchase a local SIM card for convenient communication during your stay
Dress Code for Visiting Religious Sites in Bali
When visiting temples and religious sites in Bali, it is essential to follow the local dress code to show respect for the culture and sacredness of these places:
Both men and women are required to wear a sarong (a cloth wrapped around the waist) and a sash when entering temple areas.
Shoulders and knees must be covered; sleeveless tops, tank tops, shorts, and short skirts are not appropriate.
Many temples provide sarongs and sashes at the entrance for visitors, but bringing your own is recommended.
Modest clothing like T-shirts, long pants, or skirts is advisable outside temple areas as well to respect local customs.
Men may wear traditional headwear called Udeng for religious ceremonies, though it’s optional for tourists.
Following these guidelines helps honor Balinese traditions and ensures access to temple inner areas without issue.
